I wrote a play!
Well, co-wrote it with Marcia Simmons.

It’s a Christmas comedy about Charles Dickens and his wife Kate.
Here’s a description from the Petaluma Argus-Courier.
“Set on Christmas Eve 1841, the story drops us in on the household of the famous writer Charles Dickens, and shows how the real maker of Christmas magic in the home was his wife Kate. There are crises, ghosts, Christmas puddings and a household strike, all presented with deeply researched details about Victorian life. The play will be performed as a spoken word piece by a full cast at Mercury Theater, 3333 Petaluma Blvd. N.”
This December, Petaluma Readers Theatre put on a staged reading of our play, which was a fascinating experience. They put on three performances at Mercury Theater here in Petaluma, which drew big, kind, enthusiastic crowds.
It was even in the newspaper.

It was fascinating to see the words that had only been spoken by Marcia and me brought to life by these fabulous actors.

I’m hoping this is just the beginning. I’d love to see our play put on in a full production next year. (If interested, Email Mecontact me.)
It was a great way to end the year.
